"There was a Day, in Ancient Egypt,
when "Kleopatra Kat", Siren of the Nile,
held enslaved the Heart of a Noble Roman Rodent

-- "Marcantonni Maus"

The tale is told that "Kleopatra Kat" told her child, "Krazy": Kleopatra 1

But Krazy ran off with her lower class suitor all the same. Marcantonni Maus' love was so fervent that he wanted to do something, anything, to prove his love for Krazy.Kleopatra 2

He went to a wise old seer (the sage of Karnak, no less!), who told him that he must send his lover a note with his love written on it for her to see. Alas, Marcantonni could not write. So he hired the locould not write. So he hired the local Blacksmith, one "Ptolemy Hoozis", to chisel the message into a brick. Kleopatra 3

Kleopatra 4

Delivering the message via the only postal service he could afford, he sent the brick right into her royal, Krazy highness' head, knocking her off of her pylon, where she was resting.Kleopatra 5

The Palace Guards made to cart Marcantonni off to Jail, but Krazy stopped them, professing his love for this lowly mouse to their shock and dismay.Kleopatra 6

"* When the Egyptian Day is Done it has become
his Romeonian Custom to Crease his Lady's Bean with
a Brick Laden with Tender Sentiment ---
And True to his Trust he has been Faithful --
Faithful Through the Ages --------------------------- *"Kleopatra 7
